SEVEN CHAKRA

Sanskrit Sahasrara

The crown chakra , also known as Sahasrara in Sanskrit meaning thousand, is referred to as the “Lotus of the Thousand Petals”  the pure bliss of total inactivity. The dominating color of the crown chakra symbol is white.

Its petals are multicolor, like a rainbow. The crown chakra is most commonly represented with the color white, although it can also be depicted as deep purple. The circle is sometimes compared to the symbol of the full moon. The auric color of crown chakra energy can also be seen as gold, white, or clear light.

It is considered the highest and most spiritual of the chakras, associated with pure consciousness, awareness, enlightenment, wisdom, and a sense of oneness with the universe or higher power. A person who has reached this chakra has transcended the realms of human consciousness; there is no longer any separate individual.

Practicing meditation, prayer, or daily silence are disciplines that lead to increased moments of spiritual connection. Once you’ve established a daily practice of these activities that connect you to universal consciousness, you will see expansion of spiritual awareness in your outer world. You will begin to experience unconditional love on a consistent basis. You will be more compassionate, kind, and forgiving, and show more humility. Life will become less about you and more about serving others because when you serve others, you are serving yourself.

Element of Thought, Crown Chakra

Metaphorically, the crown chakra is often linked to the element of thought or understanding.

It represents the integration of all the elements (earth, water, fire, air, and ether) and transcends them to a higher spiritual plane. This chakra is associated with knowledge, wisdom, awareness, and understanding of universal consciousness.

In some interpretations, the element of thought for the crown chakra is sometimes considered to be pure consciousness or the transcendence of material elements altogether, representing a state of spiritual oneness and enlightenment. It’s important to note that interpretations of chakras and their associated elements may vary based on different spiritual traditions and beliefs.

IMBALANCE

Do you experience aimlessness, feelings of loneliness, or lack of spiritual connections?

A closed crown chakra can lead to lack of inspiration, aimlessness, feelings of loneliness, excessive materialism, lack of spiritual connections, and difficulty meditating.  Imbalanced or blocked, it can manifest in various ways:

OVERACTIVITY

Egoism and Spiritual Arrogance: Excessive focus on spiritual pursuits without grounding in reality, leading to a sense of superiority or arrogance.

Disconnected from the Physical World: Overemphasis on the spiritual realm, neglecting practical responsibilities and earthly matters.

Difficulty in Grounding: Feeling disconnected from the body or unable to integrate spiritual experiences into everyday life.

UNDERACTIVITY

Lack of Purpose or Direction: Feeling aimless or without a sense of purpose in life.

Disconnection from Spirituality: Feeling disconnected from higher spiritual truths, lack of interest in spiritual exploration or growth.

Depression and Existential Crises: A sense of meaninglessness, questioning life’s purpose and the existence of a higher power.

PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS

Headaches and Migraines: Chronic or severe headaches, particularly at the top of the head.

Neurological Issues: Problems with the nervous system or cognitive function.

Sleep Disorders: Difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or experiencing vivid dreams.

EMOTIONAL AND MENTAL IMBALANCES

Lack of Connection: Feeling isolated, alone, or disconnected from oneself and others.

Difficulty in Learning or Understanding: Struggling with intellectual pursuits, comprehension, or grasping higher concepts.

SPIRITUAL IMBALANCES

Atheism or Skepticism: Strong disbelief in spiritual or metaphysical concepts, denying the existence of higher consciousness or a divine power.

Spiritual Confusion: Feeling lost or uncertain about one’s spiritual beliefs or path.

Balancing the crown chakra involves practices that help integrate spirituality with everyday life, cultivate a sense of purpose, and connect with the higher self and the universe. These practices may include meditation, mindfulness, yoga, deep breathing, energy work, connecting with nature, and seeking spiritual guidance or counseling.

It’s essential to find what works best for you and engage in practices that resonate with your beliefs and preferences. If imbalances persist, consider consulting a healthcare professional or a qualified energy healer for further guidance and support.
