This 63 minutes class is about binding in a pose. That means including in a pose a link of the hands behind your back, wrapping the arms around one leg and grabbing a wrist.  The options are endless for yoga binds.  Bound variations of asanas are forms of mudra “seals”  practice; hands and wrists seal to create bound variations of a yoga pose.  

Here in this practice are few bound variations of common yoga poses. A yoga strap or hand towel are helpful tools to increase suppleness in the body as binds require flexibility both in the physical body and in the mind to stay present and sustain the pose. Binds physically deepen the pose and its effects.

Description

Right Nostril Breathing. Warm up. Sun Salutations.

Work  – Lunge into Bound variation. Bird of Paradise. Low Squat Bound variation. Standing Hand-To-Feet. Dedicated to the Sage Marichi I, Sage Seat Forward Bend A, bound half-lotus, reclining head to toe. 

Reset of the spine and cool down on our mat.  

The corpse pose would be around 5 minutes  but yogi can also stay longer. 

Required: yoga mat, water, towel
