This 60 minutes class focuses on side bend and hips to improve openness (loosen up) and also counteracts the tightness of the lateral sides of the body.  The purpose is also to work the lateral lines of connective tissue that run through out the body for a better integrity to the structure and function of the body.  Yang part is a flow routine and Yin part is on the floor sequence.

Golf is characterized by repeated bouncing ballistic stretching, involving sudden moments exertion. It’s also one-sided which can often create muscle imbalances as golfers swing 75 to 100 times from one side of the body.  Good players are not just healthy physically but also mentally. 

The multi dimensional benefits of practicing yoga, physical, physiological, mental, emotional and spiritual -all in one practice- can be  translated to utilizing your body more efficiently in all active tasks of golfing:  weight on front leg (80-90%), club shaft leaning forward ahead of clubhead, hips turned out of way, and staying in your spine angle (posture).  This yoga sequence is for you golfers…or non-golfers.

Description

First Yang part is a flow sequence  and the second part a sweet yin moment where the poses are held longer.

The flow helps to move with the inhale and the exhale who will soak you in those invaluable sweet moments of connection, openness and stillness with lateral bending.   

The yin part is on your mat for hips and side bending asanas as you quiet the monkey mind.

The corpse pose would be on your own in your sacred space at home for 5-10 minutes after your virtual class.
