Abstract Yin & Yang – Mandala 12″ Epoxy Resin

This unique handmade 12″ wood mandala is finished on the front side with a coat of epoxy resin and on the backside covered with an acrylic sealer.

The ubiquitous yin-yang symbol holds its roots in Taoism/Daoism, a Chinese religion and philosophy. The yin, the dark swirl, is associated with shadows, femininity, and the trough of a wave; the yang, the light swirl, represents brightness, passion, and growth. Here is an abstract representation.
