This 60 minutes class will focus on building OJAS.  Ojas is a Sanskrit term meaning “vigor or essence of life,” and it is best understood as essential energy for the body and mind. It not only gives tissues strength and endurance, but it protects the health and vitality of cells, thereby influencing all bodily functions and physiological processes. 

Practically it can be strengthen with the activation of the PNS (parasympathetic nervous system) by practicing slow breathing technique, meditation, muscles relaxation, touch like massage and compression which are all in this yin class. 

Scientifically there is no proof that yoga practice affects our nervous system but evidence-based in Yin Yoga, especially when combined with relaxed, slow breathing, triggers the parasympathetic nervous system.

Required:  yoga mat, one bolster or pillow/cushion, water
