This 65 minutes class focus on the intercostal muscles that run between the ribs, and help form and move the chest wall. Mainly involved in the mechanical aspect of breathing, these muscles help expand and shrink the size of the chest cavity to facilitate breathing.  Here, poses are done with awareness at our ribcage.

Description

The Yang part is a gentle Vinyasa flow style in motion and the Yin part on our mat (45-120 seconds/pose).

Yang – Intercostal Breathing. Warm-up. Sun Salutation Variations. Warrior II Variations. Wide-Legged Variations. Side Plank Variation. Triangle. Tree Pose Variation.

Yin – Cross-Legged Variation. Swan. Half Butterfly. Half Camel. Straddle. Melting Heart. Bananasana. 

The corpse pose is around 4-5 minutes but as you are into your sacred space at home, you are welcome to stay 8-10 minutes longer after your virtual class.
